However, they are not the whole business of high-mix low-volume wiring harnesses. We should continue to create value for customers and survive and develop in fierce competition. In addition to solving the unique challenges of high-mix low-volume wiring harness business, we should establish common business practices, including sales, personnel, administration, and finance, that are applicable to high-volume wiring harness business.
How do we think and make choices? What kind of team are we? These are the foundations of doing everything well. For this reason, we must talk about our values, what kind of group we are and how we strive to realize our dreams and become champions.
Founded in 2009, Hilink is positioned to provide customers in the industrial and medical fields with high-mix low-volume wiring harness manufacturing services. We named our Company “Hilink” to express our ambition of being broad-minded and ambitious. It has been over ten years since our founding. Looking back on the past, although we have ambitions, it is more important to understand that the road to business success is “serving customers and society better by constantly improving and expanding ourselves”. To achieve this, it is necessary to truly understand the challenges faced by customers in a fiercely competitive environment, and build up problem-solving capabilities around these challenges to help customers solve problems. We should assist our partners in improving quality and efficiency, so as to create more value for customers. We should understand the difficulties encountered by employees in their growth, help them grow, and contribute more wisdom to the company while realizing life ambitions.
We were born and grew up in China. Our country boasts splendid mountains and rivers, diligent and amiable people, as well as concepts keeping up with the times, including gentleness, kindness, modesty, courtesy and frugality. Because of these values, we often hesitate to express ourselves openly and honestly, especially when it comes to sharing our genuine opinions about events and people, particularly with close friends and colleagues. Although these values contribute to social harmony, they hinder our mutual improvement and the continuous enhancement of our work performance. Perhaps here we should learn from Ayn Rand that “honest selfishness is a virtue”, respecting the interests of both ourselves and others, working diligently and competing fairly. The Company gets orders from customers by creating values for them, while employees get fair treatment from the Company through honest labor.
The working voltage of most industrial and medical wiring harnesses is not high, and the transmission signals are not high-frequency broadband. In terms of technical specifications, the technical content is not high. As a manufacturer of wiring harnesses, especially contract manufacturers that produce non-standard wiring harnesses, we do not have the high technology and brand-building moats that franchised companies or high-tech companies with administrative licenses or patents can support us through difficult times caused by management errors. We must be like the antelope on the crisis-ridden African savannah. To survive, we must stay awake and vigilant at all times and develop a mechanism that can quickly find problems and correct them. This requires us to have strict budget and cost control capabilities, sensitive KPI systems, and pragmatic and rational groups.
Senior professionals or psychological experts often say that work and life should be separated. We disagree with this view. We believe that the hard work and thought we devote to our work with colleagues, as well as the laughter and good times with family and friends in life are all truly integral parts of our whole lives. Therefore, we regard caring for the environment, friendly communities, considerate customers, and kindness to partners and employees as part of realizing a happy life, and sincerely practice, comprehend and improve them.
It takes huge markets, genius and opportunity to make a great company. For example, when the smartphone was in its infancy, Steve Jobs ingeniously combined technology with art to create Apple’s glory. We are engaged in the high-mix low-volume wiring harness manufacturing service. Although we face many challenges that require intelligence and diligence, the reality is that due to the limited market size and low technical content, we cannot become a major player in our lifetime. But is making a great company the only way for everyone to benefit mankind? No, life and the world are not so unitized. We can still follow our chosen path, work honestly, take care of the environment, be friendly to communities, constantly create value for customers, treat partners and employees kindly, and become a trusted and respected company. We are unique, We are the champions.
